Pittsburg Planning Commission Meeting
Date: July 10, 2018
Location: City Hall Council Chambers
Agenda: Click Here
#3. San Marco Commercial Center, AP-18-1349 (PPR).
This project is designed to quiet the complaints by San Marco residents who have demanded the retail center that was promised them 20 years ago. Unfortunately, the City of Pittsburg decided that the original retail plan should be rezoned and replaced with more homes instead, leaving the residents in a lurch and exacerbated the traffic problems in the area.
The proposed location for this project will further add to the congestion in the area, but that’s not really a problem for the Planning Commission… they don’t think about the future impact of their decisions on our city… they just do what they are told, no questions asked.
If you live in the San Marcos area: SHOW UP FOR THIS MEETING AND DEMAND TRAFFIC MITIGATION AS A PART OF THIS PLAN!
Other Items of Interest:
NONE. The current incarnation of the Pittsburg Planning Commission is impotent and, as such, the commission has no meaningful control over the planning of the City. All control has been abdicated to staff, City Council and City Management with almost no planning oversight. (See Zoning Administrator Reports for evidence.)
